William Fredrick Carl Miller, son of Carl Miller and Louise Michael, was born on September 9, 1888. He was baptized on September 11, 1888, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1903. He departed this life on December 6, 1967, at the age of 79 years, two months and 27 days.

In 1914, Mr. Miller was united in marriage with Louise Krueger, who with six children survive him, Evelyn ( Mrs. Earl Walsh) of Madison, Wisconsin; Vernon, Postville; Roland, Waukon; Helen (Mrs. Charles Bahr) Waukon; Arlene (Mrs. John Beisker) Waukon; Leone (Mrs. Edwin McKee) Luana. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One grandchild preceded him in death in 1965.

Mr. Miller is also survived by five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Gregg, Postville; Mrs. Gusta Wykoff, Postville; Mrs. Wilbert Wilke, Postville; Mrs. C. F. Smith, Waterloo (IA); Mrs. Frank Bellows, Dubuque; and one brother, Gust, Postville.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 9, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Rev. Lenwood Monte officiating. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
