Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home for Louis B. Miller of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on May 12. Mr. Miller was born and raised in Postville. The rites were in charge of the Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Louis Bernard Friederich Miller was born in Postville, Iowa on February 12, 1898, the son of Carl Frederick Miller and his wife Louise Michael. He passed away in Rockford, Illinois on May 12, 1956 at the age of 58.

Mr. Miller worked as a carpenter, living in Postville until about 14 years ago, when he moved to Rockford, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Carl, at the age of nine months. He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Frank Bellows of Dubuque, Mrs. John Gregg of Postville, Mrs. Howard Wykoff of Cedar Falls, Mrs. C. F. Smith of Waterloo, and Mrs. Wilbert Wilke of Postville; three brothers, August Miller of Postville, Henry Miller of Clermont, and William Miller of Waukon; and many nieces and nephews.
