Mrs. FRANK (Lottie E. Gress) Carwick MILLER 1896-1978

Lottie Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Leon and Minnie (Barker) Gress was born Aug. 16, 1896 and passed away at the Waukon Good Samaritan Center Mar. 21, 1978 at the age of 81 years, 7 mo. and 5 days. She attended school at Fayette and Hawkeye, Iowa.

On Dec. 11, 1912 she was united in marriage to Edward Carwick at West Union. They resided at Postville, where Mr. Carwick passed away June 2, 1916. On Feb. 26, 1919 she married Frank D. Miller at Waukon.

They lived on a farm in Ludlow Township for 47 years where Mr. Miller passed away Aug. 28, 1965. She then moved to Monona, Iowa to be with her daughter. She was a long time member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at West Union.

Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Rose; son-in-law, Harold Rose; two grandchildren, Cletus and Gary Rose; two granddaughters-in-law, Lottie and Elaine Rose; six great-grandchildren: Craig, Juanita, Clinton, Lynn, Nadine and Kyle Rose; one sister, Mrs. Vera Sutter, Cedar Rapids; one brother Clifford Gress, Waterloo; two stepsons, Frank C. Miller and Leonard Miller and one step-daughter Abbie Westerholm all of Waukon.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, one infant daughter, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Gary Rose, Cletus Rose, Jim Rose, Lynn Rose, Dennis Miller, and Clint Miller.

Services were held Fri. afternoon at 1:30 at Postville with Rev. Rumppe of West Union officiating. Burial was in Postville Cemetery.
