Mrs. W. R. (Wilhelmine E. Krumm) NORDIN

Mrs. W. R. Nordin, 55, passed away at her home in this city Monday morning following a prolonged illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at two p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig officiating. As Wilhelmine Elisabeth Krumm, Mrs. Nordin was born August 27, 1888, in Wagner township, Clayton county, the daughter of Charles and Wilhelmine Schierholz Krumm. She spent the first three years of her life in that community and then went with her family to Post township onto the farm which for the next 24 years was to be her home.

She was married to Wilmer Nordin of Rice Lake, Wis., on November 22, 1915, by the late Rev. E. Schmidt and the couple made their home in Postville ever since. Mrs. Nordin was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Her community activities were largely confined to her church. She served as a teacher of Sunday School for a number of years and was also active in the Women's Missionary Society.

Mrs. Nordin is survived by her husband, her aged mother, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Schmidt of Madison, Wis. and Mrs. Edward (Effie) Lammert of Postville, six nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. Her father passed away in 1929 and three sisters, Alvina, Jessie and Malinda, passed away previously.
