Services Held For L. Ruckdaschel

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville for Lenora Katherine Ruckdaschel who died October 26 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Norris Swenson officiated.

Born on a farm in Grand Meadow township near Postville, September 14, 1892, she was the daughter of John and Anna Knodt Ruckdaschel. She lived her entire life in the Postville area and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was baptized October 13, 1892 by Pastor Seifert and confirmed March 24, 1907 by Pastor Puhl.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1939, her mother in 1923, a sister Flora in 1912, brothers John in 1945, Ernest in 1952 and a sister Esther in 1974.

Survivors include a sister Mrs. Lawrence (Hertha) Thoma of Luana; three nephews, John Ruckdaschel, Oxnard, California, Curtis Ruckdaschel, Palos Verdes, California and Robert Thoma, Luana; three nieces, Gertrude Koopman, Farmersburg, Judith Hahn, Anamosa and Margie Stansberry, Cedar Rapids.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
