Mrs. LOUIS (Savina Thoma) SALZGEBER 1872-1944

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Red Wind, Minn., for Mrs. Louis Salzgeber, 71, who passed away the previous Sunday at a Red Wing hospital. The Rev. Bertramm Reed officiated and burial was in St. John's cemetery.

As Savina Thoma she was born in Postville April 10, 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thoma.

On April 5, 1894 she was married to Louis Salzgeber and 26 years ago the couple moved to Lake City, Minn. For the past 22 years the family had lived in Red Wing. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Louis, Jr., and Charles G., all of Red Wing; also five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Anna Schultz of Postville and a brother, Fred Thoma of Omaha, Nebr. A daughter, Pauline, passed away some years ago.
