Services Held For Mrs. Helen Schultz
Helen Dorothy Kluss Schultz, daughter of William and Margaret Ruckdaschel Kluss, was born Oct. 22, 1897 at Postville. She passed away at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. on Sept. 28, 1972 after a lengthy illness.
She was united in marriage to Levi Edward Schultz in July 1915 at Postville. There were three children born to this union, two sons, Dean of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Reid of Oxnard, California, and one daughter, DeVonne Schultz, who preceded her mother and father in death.
Mr. & Mrs. Schultz lived most of their married life in the Luana area. Mrs. Schultz was active in business with her husband in a restaurant and grocery store in Luana for many years. After disposing of their business, Mrs. Schultz was employed as a dental technician for Dr. D. E. Tinker of Postville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, two brothers, Eldo Kluss, and Alfred who died in infancy, two sisters, Ruth and Emma Kluss.
She leaves to remember her, her two sons, one sister, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Welzel of West Union, three grandsons, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were conducted at the Schutte Funeral Chapel in Postville on Oct. 2, by the Reverend Raymond W. Pacholke of the Luana United Methodist Church. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Paul Schutte, and the soloist was Mr. Paul A. Schutte.
Casketbearers were D. E. Tinker, Adrian Riveland, Louis Wagner, Kenneth Schultz, Ivon Schultz, Leo Bollman, Elmer Spies, and Kermit Rowland.
Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
