Mrs. Schultz Is Killed In Accident Near Atlantic

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Schultz received word Saturday that their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carlas Schultz of Tonopah, Nevada, were involved in a car accident about a mile east of Atlantic, Iowa. Mrs. Schultz was killed; three daughters, Doreen, Susan and Melanie were hospitalized but released the same evening; Carlas received bruises.

The accident occurred during a heavy rain storm. The Schultz car came upon a slow moving pickup truck and the vehicle slipped on the wet road and entered the ditch.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Schultz and Emil, Jr. drove to Atlantic Saturday. Willis Schultz of Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hupfer, of Monona, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Sampson of Ossian and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Schultz drove to Atlantic Sunday where a short service was held before the body was returned to Fallon, Nevada for services and burial on Thursday, June 5.

The children accompanied their grandparents to Postville Sunday; were taken to Minneapolis Monday where Eudora Schultz flew them to Fallon to be with their father.
