Albert H. Schultz

Albert Henry Schultz, son of Joachim and Anna (Harnack) Schultz, was born Aug. 8, 1902 at Castalia, Iowa. He died Wednesday, March 3, 1993 in the Health Care Manor at New Hampton, Iowa. He was 90.

He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith. Albert attended the rural school near his home. On July 12, 1958 he was married to Clara Dora (Schnuelle) Kamp at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa.

The couple lived in the Postville and Clermont areas. From 1981 to 1988, Albert became a resident of Prairie View at Fayette on July 15, 1988 he became a resident at the Health Care Manor in New Hampton.

Albert had been employed as a farm hand and for the Rock (?) Railroad. After his retirement from the railroad, he was employed by the city of Clermont. In his later years, he became interested in woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clara, who died Aug. 9, 1980; seven brothers, John, Ed, Eldo, George, Louis and Fritz; and a sister, Edna; a stepson, Leonard and a stepdaughter, Lorraine Wonderset.

He is survived by two stepsons, Charles Kamp of Oelwein and Kenneth Kamp of Decorah; a stepdaughter, Iletta Borg of Forest City; step-grandchildren, Leslie Kamp and his wife Lori, Rick Kamp, Randy Kamp, Russell Kamp and his wife, Wanda, Dennis Kamp and Debbie Camp; step-great-grandchildren Evan Kamp, Patty, Randy, Tina Johnson, Sara, Charles, and Lois Kamp, Stephanie Hughes, Kevin and Keith Schneider and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 5, 1993 at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville, the Rev. R. Michael Brown officiating. Joann Martins was the organist. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Norman Schultz, Eugene Schultz, Wilbur Schultz and Richard Schultz.
