Hall LeRoy Swenson, son of Arthur W. and Nina (Harris) Swenson, was born September 27, 1899 in Allamakee County, Iowa. He died Monday, March 30, 1987 in the Good Samaritan Center at Waukon, Iowa. He attended the Cherry Valley School, Postville High School and, for a short time, a business college in Cedar Rapids. On March 8, 1922 he was married to Florence Anna Lindroth at the home of her parents in Luana. To this union five children were born. They farmed northeast of Postville in Franklin Township until 1966 when they moved to their home northeast of Postville. Hall had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon for about ten months. He is preceded in death by his wife, Florence, who died in 1984, a granddaughter, Judy Kaeser, one brother, George and one sister, Doris Swenson. Surviving are three sons, Verdon and his wife, Mary, Marlin and his wife, Erma Jean, and Lane and his wife, Sharon, two daughters, LaVon and her husband, Gordon Kaeser, of Waukon and JoAnn and her husband, Leslie Livingood, of Lansing, IA, 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a brother, Roland Swenson of Venice, FL and a sister, Florence Ruckdaschel of Postville. Hall was a member of the Forest Mills United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. Services at Forest Mills United Methodist Church, rural Postville, Iowa; Wednesday, April 1, 1987. Interment in Minert Cemetery, rural, Postville, Iowa.
