Florence Anna Swenson, daughter of Frank and Lucy (Pahlas) Lindroth, was born May 13, 1902 at Garnavillo, Iowa. She passed away September 23, 1984 at Veterans memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa at the age of 82 years. She attended the Luana School. On March 8, 1922 she was married to Hall Swenson, Jr. at the home of her parents in Luana. To this union five children were born. They farmed northeast of Postville in Franklin Township until 1966 when they moved to their present home. She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Judy Kaeser, two brothers, Myron and Efferd Lindroth and a sister, Irene DeSotel. Surviving besides her husband, Hall, are three sons, Verdon (Bud), Marlin and Lane, all of Postville, two daughters, LaVon (Mrs. Gordon Kaeser) of Waukon and JoAnn (Mrs. Leslie Livingood) of Lansing, Iowa, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Florence was a member of the Forest Mills United Methodist Church and the U.M.W. and the Home Project Study Club. Funeral services: Forest Mills United Methodist Church, rural Postville, Iowa; Wednesday, September 26, 1984. Burial in Minert Cemetery, rural, Postville, Iowa.
