Edward J. Teeling, 65, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, in the VA Medical Center, Iowa City, after a brief illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon, by Father Allen Schmitt. Burial: St. Mary's Lycurgus Cemetery, rural Waukon, with military rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon, where a Scripture service will be held at 4 p.m.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy Teeling of Burlingame, Calif, and Teri Teeling of Placerville, Calif; a son Thomas of Vanderbelt, Mich; and four sisters, Sarah Welsh, Frances Fahey and Mary Mellick, all of Waukon, and Sheila Link of Chicago.
