Kiel.—Funeral services for Joseph F. Awe, who passed away at his home here Wednesday, were held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the family residence, 503 North street, and at 2 o'clock at the St. Peter Reformed church. The Rev. E. L. Worthman administered the last sad rites, and burial was made in the New Holstein city cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Frank Hahnemann, Herman Krieman, August Henning, John Rosenthal, John Klein, and Herman Prueter Sr. The Senior choir of the church sang "Neher mein Gott zu Dir," "Harre Meine ,Seele," and "Heimat Land."
The following relatives from away attended the funeral: Fred Kloke, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Renne and daughter, Miss Meta, and Miss Inez Bechtell of Waukon, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Awe, Fred Awe, and Mr. and Mrs. William Awe and son, Calvin, of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kippanhahn and family, Mrs. Henry Bohmeistsr and son, George, of Greenwood, also John Websey of Greenwood, Mrs. Charles Schulte of Colby, Mrs. Emma Olson, Mrs. Fred Gisch and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Voigtlander and family of Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Arnett of Abbottsford, Otto Loos of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kandler, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peik Jr., Mrs. Raymond Scholz, Mrs. Augusta Bringmann and daughter, Delia; Mrs. William Kraemer, Misa Ida Kraemer, Miss.
