Mrs. Fillmore Stull, Sr. at Rest

Mrs. Alice E. Stull, wife of Fillmore Stull, passed away at her home in Waukon, Friday, Oct 20, at 12 o’clock noon, following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Stull was the daughter of Isaiah and Mary Adams, pioneer settler of Rossville and Volney, where she passed her younger days, but had lived in Waukon for the past thirty-one years.

She was born in Clayton county, Iowa, April 13, 1859, and at the time of her death was aged 63 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

On October 31, 1878, she was married to Fillmore Stull to which union was born six children, namely, Mrs. Harry Kuykendall of Ableman, Wis., Mrs. Frank Kuykendall of Muscoda, Wis., Charles Dudley of Dubuque, Wm. I., of Richland Center, Wis., Fillmore, Jr., of Waukon, and Frank C., who passed away May 29, 1915.

Surviving her are the husband and children and the following brother and sisters: Alfred Adams of Storm, Lake, Iowa, Mrs. R. J. Shippee of Topeka, Kansas, Mrs. M. J. Stroud of Elkader, Iowa, and Sarah S. Adams of Topeka, Kansas. There are also seven grand children.

She united with the Waukon Baptist church a number of years ago and remained a member until her death. She was buried from the Baptist church Sunday afternoon, Oct. 22, the pastor conducting the services.
