Stull, Elijah R. 1851-1930

STULL, BEAL, BEALL LEMBKE, HANCOCK

Elijah R. Stull was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania on April 5th, 1851, and departed this life at Monona, Iowa, on April 14, 1930 at the age of 79 years and 9 days.

He came to Iowa from Penn. when he was one year old to Rossville, Allamakee County, Iowa, where he resided for the most of his years, afterward coming to Monona, where he lived until the time of his death.

On July 6th, 1878, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Beall who preceded him in death on January 6th, 1912. To this union one son, W.M. Stull, was born.

In 1918 he was again united in marriage to Albertina Lembke who also preceded him in death in June 1925.

Mr. Stull in early life united with the Rossville Baptist church, but after coming to Monona, transferred his membership to the First Methodist Church, Monona, where he sustained his church relationship up to the time of his passing.

There remains to mourn his loss one sister, beside the son mentioned above, Mrs. Laura Hancock, of Hiwood, Minn., beside five nieces and five nephews, and three grand children, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the First Methodist Church, Monona, Iowa, by the Rev. Louis H. Joslin, Pastor of the church. Interment was made in the Cemetery at Rossville.
