Waukon, Iowa – Services for James Raymond Briar, 30, who died Monday at Woodward, were at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin Bros. Funeral Home here with the Rev. L. W. Bong, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating and burial in Oakland Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 28, 1919, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Briar of Waukon. Besides his parents he is survived by a brother Elmer, of Oskaloosa, and a sister, Dorothy, of Perry.
