Lansing- Plans are being made for the funeral of Mrs. Margaret Pettit, 60, who died Thursday forenoon in the kitchen of the Voss restaurant where she was employed.

As Margaret Lane, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Lane, she was born at Strawberry Point Feb. 15, 1890. She married Pearly J. Pettit Sept. 8, 1920. Most of their married life was spent in Allamakee county, living more than 15 years at Lansing. Pettit was killed Dec. 12, 1941, in an explosion at a Burlington defense plant.

Mrs. Pettit was a member of the American Legion auxiliary, the Catholic Women's league and Rosary society.

She is survived by three daughters and a son, Mrs. Mary Riley of Waukon, Mrs. Julia Martin of Elgin and Mrs. Kathleen Baugher, Payson, Ill.; and a son, Francis, a polio patient at the Veterans hospital, Minneapolis. There are eight grandchildren and other relatives.

The funeral will be at the Immaculate Conception church and burial will be in Gethsemane cemetery.
