Waukon- Peter J. Plein, 77, died Saturday at his farm home in Makee township. He was a lifelong resident of Allamakee county.

He married Katherine Byrne June 8, 1908, and the couple farmed throughout Plein's life.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lieut. Mary Plein, army nurse, Camp McCoy, and Helen, at home; three sons, Edward and William at home and Francis, Waukon; one brother, Anton, French Creek; and two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Collins and Mrs. John McGahan, both of the French Creek community.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church at Lycurgus, the Rev. Francis Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
