Acquaintances of Mrs. J. H. Huecker were shocked and deeply saddened Saturday to learn of her death (12 Dec) which occurred a month after her husband passed away, she having failed to recover from the shock occasioned by his sudden demise.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bieber she was born on the farm east of Waukon on February 6, 1870 and was 72 years of age. Her entire life was spent in this vicinity where she was held in the highest esteem.

On October 10, 1900 her marriage to Dr. J. H. Huecker took place and their union consummated a happy companionship that they enjoyed throughout their lives.

An only sister, Miss Emma Bieber, survives and is assured of the deep sympathy of many friends in her sorrow and loneliness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the late home of deceased on East Main street, conducted by the Rev F.E. Stucki. Mrs. E.A. Leschensky was soloist and casket was banked with beautiful floral offerings . Burial was in Oakland cemetery beside the remains of Dr. Huecker. The casket bearers were Herman Peterson, Alfred Dravis, E.A. Leschensky, Paul Dravis, Carl Bechtel and Karl Knight.
