Mrs. Johanna Ahlstrom, 92, of Waukon, died Sunday Feb 3 at the Good Samaritan Center.

She was born May 30, 1887 in Allamakee County to Andrew and Esther Johnson Christensen. She attended local schools and married Aldwyn Ahlstrom Dec. 7, 1911 in Waukon. He died in 1945.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one foster son, LeRoy Shogren of Bossier City, LA; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Clara Olson, Mrs. Nellie Ahlstrom, Mrs. Frank (Emma) Sandry, Mrs. Esther Hagemeier, Carl Christensen and Floyd Christensen, all of Waukon. She was preceded in death by her husband, two Sisters, Minnie (Glaus) and Edna (Hagen) and a brother Arthur.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Martin funeral home. The Rev. Marlyn Hansing and Rev. August Limkemann officiated with burial in Oakland cemetery. Pall bearers were David Hagemeier, Leslie Glaus, John Ahlstrom, Fred Snitker, James Christensen and Donald Schon.
