Lansing, Ia., Oct. 14 - Funeral services for the late Mrs. Klees, a resident here for many years, were held on Tuesday from St. Mary's Catholic church at Ashton, Ia., Rev. Edward Neppl reading the requiem mass.

The deceased was born in Germany, May 12, 1844, coming to this country with her parents when she was a child, the new home being in Maryland for a short while. Later she came to Allamakee county where she resided for many years.

On May 1, 1869, at Lansing, she was married to Nicholas Klees, who preceded her in death fourteen years ago. Surviving Mrs. Klees is one brother, John Frey of Chicago, also four nieces and four nephews.
