Well Known Man Passes Away in Waukon After an Illness of Long Duration.
Mr. John Bowen died at his home in Waukon Monday at 2:00 P.M. after an illness of seven months. Mr. Bowen was a resident of St. Regis, Mont., for a number of years, having contracted his fatal illness in the gold mines of that state.
Mr. Bowen is survived by three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Nellie Robbins, of 1058 Locust street [Dubuque] is a sister of the deceased. Mrs. Robbins has left for Waukon to attend the funeral which will be held Wednesday morning at nine o'clock.
