Postville- Myrtle J. "Mert" Folsom, 75, of Urbandale, formerly of Postville, died of respiratory failure Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, in Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Pius X Catholic Church, Urbandale. Burial: 2 p.m. Saturday, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines.

Survivors include her longtime friend, Norma Frad; a brother, John Folsom of Des Moines; and two sisters, Irene Steele and Bernice Stillwell, both of Waukon.
