Died Brown- At his residence in Waukon, March 27, 1878, Mr. Josiah Brown. Mr. Brown was born in Knox Co., Tenn., 1809. In early life he removed from Tennessee to Indiana. Feb. 28, 1850, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Thompson. In 1855 he and family moved to the State of Iowa. Some 40 years since he professed faith in Christ and connected himself with the visible church. On Wednesday, March 27, at 5 o'clock p.m., he departed this life, after a painful illness resulting from the diseased condition of the valves of the heart. Mr. Brown was a quiet estimable citizen, and consistent christian. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss. "The days of our years are three score years and ten, and if by reason of strength they are four score years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow, for we are soon cut off and we fly away.
