Postville- Hazel E. Backhaus, 88, died Sunday morning, Dec. 19, 1999, in Good Samaritan Center after a brief illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Good Samaritan Center, by the Rev. T. M. Marks. Burial: Postville Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Schutte Funeral Home, Postville.

There are no immediate survivors.
