SHERIFF, GREEN, BURROUGHS, BELLOWS

Waukon, Ia., Jan. 21 - Funeral services were held Tuesday for John Sheriff of this city, who died Sunday at his home here after a long lingering illness. Services were conducted by the Rev. R.L. Van Nice and burial was made in the Sadler* cemetery on English Bench.

Mr. Sheriff was born August 5, 1845, in New York and when eight years of age came to Iowa with his parents. He was married three times, his last wife being Miss Lulu Green, whom he married Sept. 9, 1903.

Besides his widow he leaves three children, James, New Albin; Lafe, Indiana, and Mrs. John Burroughs, Lansing. Casket bearers were six nephews, Roy, Clarence, Forrest and Merlin Sheriff and Ervin and Clifford Bellows.
