Obituary
Mrs. Ira E. Nash
Harriet Permilla Cook was born January 6, 1829, in Livingston county, New York and died July 3, 1916, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 27 days.

When seven years of age she came with her parents to Mottville, Michigan, where she spent her earlier years teaching school. On September 11, 1853, she was united in marriage to Ira Nash and lived on a farm near Mottville until 1864, when they came to Iowa, settling near Fort Atkinson and soon afterward coming to Allamakee county which has been her home until within a few months of her death.

She died at Britt, Iowa, at the home of her son Charles H. Nash, who with her aged husband, a brother Aaron B. Cook of Postville, Iowa, and a granddaughter, Cora Nash, and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn her loss. She has always been a member of some church and as long as she was able was an active christian worker.

Many friends of the family in Postville and Allamakee county will sympathize sincerely with "Uncle" Ira and the other relatives in their time of sorrow.

The funeral was held at Britt, Tuesday, July 4.
