Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services were held here Friday afternoon at Martin Brothers' Funeral Home to St. John's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Val Elsheimer, 61, with the Rev. P.F. Kjorlaug, pastor, officiating. The body was taken to Hokah, Minn. for burial.

Mrs. Elsheimer died suddenly here Wednesday at her home, having returned only the previous day from Preston, Minn., where she had been recuperating following a recent operation.

She was the former Emma Zieman and was born Nov. 15, 1881, at Hokah, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Zieman. She was married Oct. 23, 1900, to Mr. Elsheimer and they lived at Wykoff and Preston before moving to Waukon in 1924, where Mr. Elsheimer was engaged in the meat market business.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Clarence, of West Union, and Aryinn, of Waukon; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Ebert, of Preston, and Cora Zieman of LaCrosse; three brothers, Otto, Julius, and Robert Zieman, all of LaCrosse, and five grandchildren.
