FEBRUARY 13, 1924, WAUKON REPUBLICAN AND STANDARD (ALLAMAKEE COUNTY, IOWA)
MRS. UGLUM DEAD

Mrs. Brynhild Uglum died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eric Leiran, near Elon, on Monday, the 10th at the age of 87 years and 26 days. She was born in Norway January 12, 1837. Mrs. Uglum has been an invalid the past three years and was totally blind. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Eric Lieran {sic, Leiran}, and two sons, Thomas {sic, Torsten aka Tom} of near Elon and Hector {sic, Haftor} of this city.

The funeral will take place today at the home of her daughter and burial will be made on Round Prairie.
