BROTHERS DIE IN AUTO CRASH

Two brothers, Theodore Haerer, 32, and Raymond Haerer, 25, farmers from near Lansing, Ia., died as the result of injuries they received in an auto accident about 10:30 p.m. Saturday five miles north of Lansing on State Highway 182.

They were taken to a La Crosse hospital where Raymond died soon after arriving. The older brother, Theodore, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday.

The two men were traveling north on State Highway 182 towards New Albin, Ia., when the crash occurred. As they were alone and there were not witnesses of the accident, cause of the crash is not known. It is surmised, however, from the condition of the car and the bodies that they were traveling at a high rate of speed.

It is not known which brother was driving. Apparently, the driver lost control and the vehicle turned end over end.

Besides the aprents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Haerer, Sr., with whom the sons lived, Theodore is survived by his bride of less than a year, who is soon to become a mother. Two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Russell, New Albin, and Mrs. Stacia Peterson, also survive.

Funeral services for Raymond will be held Tuesday at the Burke Funeral Home in Lansing at 2 p.m., the Rev. Z.M. Bressler officiating. Rites for Theodore will be held at the home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Whalen, Lansing, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Bressler officiating. Both will be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
