New Albin, Ia - The funeral of Homer Irons, 10, was held here Friday afternoon at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. J.W. Irons, with the Rev. Bernard Kemper, pastor of the M.E. Church, officiating. Burial was in the New Albin Cemetery.

The youth died of injuries received when he fell down a hay chute on the August Meyer farm, a half-mile west of here. He was born March 4, 1930 at New Albin, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Irons. He attended the local public schools and had just completed the fourth grade.

Surviving are his parents; eight sisters, Laura of Chicago, and Dorothy, Ruth, Barbara, Marjorie, Beverly, Lorna, and Karen, all at home; four brothers, Jack of Clear Lake, Benjamin of Haromony, Minn., and Robert and Wayne, both at home; his grandparents, Mrs. Irons of New Albin and William Thompson of Caledonia, Minn.
