Monona, Ia. - Funeral services for William Frederick Figgie, 67, who died at his home following an extended illness, were held at the home Monday afternoon with the Rev. H.W. Farnham, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Council Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Frank Bothel, Otto Kolbe, Conrad Schlein, Harry Debes, Wendell Baskerville, Willis Bernhard, H.H. Smith and Ed Girot.

Mr. Figgie was born in Linton Township, Allamakee County, on Nov. 4, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Figgie. He attended rural schools in that vicinity and he spent his entire life on the farm until about 1920 when he retired to Monona with his brothers and sisters. He never married.

Surviving are two brothers, Fred and Henry; and two sisters, Minnie and Anna, all at home. He was preceded in death by his parents.
