New Albin, Ia. - Funeral services for Wiliam Griffin, 74, were held at St. Joseph's Church here with the Rev. L.L. Hayes, pastor, celebrating the requiem mass. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Griffin died Tuesday at his farm home following a three-year illness.

He was born May 23, 1868, at Dorchester and he was married Sept. 25, 1900, to Mary Driscoll. They farmed near Dorchester until 34 years ago when they moved to their present farm.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Earl and Emmett, both of New Albin; one daughter, Mrs. Charles O'Leary of Darlington, Wis.; and three grandchildren. One daughter, one sister, and two brothers preceded him in death.
