Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. George Hanson, 85, were held Saturday afternoon at the East Paint Creek church with the Rev. J.B. Unseth, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Hanson died at her farm home Thursday following a paralytic stroke.

Surviving are two sons, Henry, at home, and Carl of Fargo, N.D.; one brother, John Ellefson of Waterville. Her husband preceded her in death some years ago.

~Notes: her first name, not given in the obit, is found in various census years as Ellen, Lena and Eline. In the "Woodmansee" Old East Paint Creek burial records, she is listed as Elaine Hanson. The "Woodmansee" record also implies maiden name of Holgerson, and give her dates as 10/03/1858-02/25/1943
