Tuesday of last week the Angel os Death visited the James Kernan home, taking their baby boy, Joseph Mark, aged almost two years, death being due to diptheria. The family have been under quarntine for several weeks and this makes their sorrow all the harder to bear. They have the sympathy of everyone in their trouble. Another daughter, little Kathryn, is down with the disease but the other children are over the worst at this writing. It is sad to have their cherished babe taken from them and circumstances like this seem almost more than human nature can bear. But God knows best and selects the chosen flowers for Himself. The funeral was private and he was laid to rest in Wexford cemetery Wednesday morning. The father and mother, little brothers and sisters have the sympathy of the whole community in their sorrow and trouble.
