Lansing, Ia. - Charles Kerstein, 72, dropped dead at his home on the edge of town at 5:30 o'clock Sunday evening of a heart attack while doing chores in his yard.

Although no date has been set for the funeral, the services will be held at the German Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. H.C. Marks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kerstein was born May 16, 1870 in Germany and he came to America when 12 years old, settling in Lansing. He was married Oct. 7, 1902 to May Haselow, who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Linda Beardmore of Dorchester, and Mrs. Meta Walters and Mrs. Hulda Olson, both of Lansing; one son, Charles, also of Lansing; and 12 grandchildren.
