HELMING, DEVALL, MEIERKORD

Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Otto Helming, retired railroad worker, who died at his home in Lincoln, Neb., Monday, were held at the Martin Brothers funeral home here Saturday morning, with the Rev. F.E. Stucki, pastor of the Zion Reformed church, officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Mr. Helming was born Sept. 21, 1870, on a farm four miles east of Waukon, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helming. He began his career on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad in Waukon, with headquarters in Lincoln, and retired in 1934.

He is survived by his wife, the former Minnie DeVall, of Lincoln, and two brothers, Henry Helming, Lansford, N.D., and Herman Helming, San Diego, Calif. A sister, Mrs. Fred Meierkord, Sr., of Waukon, and three brothers, Louis, Theodore, and Charles, preceded him in death.
