In the Postville 25 Years Ago column of the Postville Herald of Thur., 26 July 1923.

Mrs. Christ Schlie, formerly of Grand Meadow, died in a Davenport hospital to which she had been taken from her home near Cresco. The body was brought here for burial on Sunday.

NOTE: The Woodmansee Allamakee Co. burial book shows Schlie, Anna 1872 - 1898, Mrs. Christ; Schlie, Christ; Schlie, Willie, no dates, Inf. son of Christ. All buried in Postville cemetery.

The obit of her daughter, Alma (Schlie) Koenig, gives her maiden name as Anna Mohs.
