Postville Herald, Friday, 27 August 1920. Re-printed from the Waukon Democrat.
Charles Moy, one of the proprietors of the Chinese laundry here, went to Chicago last week, and while there committed suicide by hanging himself Friday night. His associate, George Moy, received a message and went to that city at once. Particulars are lacking, but it is surmised that the celestial became despondent and while in a brooding state of mind took his life. He was lively and amiable while here. The laundry here is a regular mint as a money maker and the deceased's uncle is the rich proprietor of the Golden Pheasant, one of the leading Chinese restaurants of Chicago, so that his act is not likely due to financial reasons.- Waukon Democrat.
