Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 26, at 1:30 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran church in Waukon for Mrs. Fred Waters of rural Postville, who died Saturday, April 22, in the Postville Community hospital following a heart attack.
The Rev. Marlyn Hansing officiated and burial was in the Frankville cemetery. Schutte's was in charge of arrangements.
Nellie Morstad was born in Allamakee county April 27, 1893, the daughter of John and Martha Eide Morstad. She was educated in the local schools and married Arthur Grinager, who died in 1945.
She was employed as matron of the Allamakee county home for 14 years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Waukon, and of the United Presbyterian Women of the Frankville church.
October 14, 1954, she married Fred Waters, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Edwards of Detroit, Michigan, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ella Rogneier of Seattle, Washington. Three brothers preceded her in death.
