Leo E. Colvin, Elkader, Passes On Wednesday
Leo E. Colvin, 43, died suddenly about 6 o'clock Wednesday evening of last week of a heart attack at his home there. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Don Colvin Sp (q) 2 of the U.S. Navy, stationed at Guam, and William at home. Also his mother, Mrs. Frank Colvin who lives on the home farm northeast of Postville.

J.H. McShane and son, Donald, and daughters, Mrs. Harry Barr and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lamborn, attended the funeral of their nephew and cousin, Leo Colvin, at Elkader and burial at Waukon Tuesday.

Leo Everett Colvin Born - 1903 Nov 28, died - 1947 Mar 19 in Elkader, Iowa Buried Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Funeral handled by Witt funeral home. Wife was Gertrude Ruth Hansmeier (1905-1979) She is also buried in Oakland.

Note: In the Woodmansee book Leo is listed as dying in 1949.
