DIED- At her home in Postville, on Saturday evening, April 13, 1895, of peritonitis, Mrs. Bridget Manning Sheehy, aged about 69 years.

Bridget Manning was born in Ireland in 1826. She came to America when 9 years of age. She was married to John Sheehy in Massachusetts in 1844; came to Iowa in 1854 and to Postville in 1864, where her husband died in 1882. She leaves five children to mourn her death; James, Edward and John, who reside in Postville, Mrs. F. E. Morrison, of Sioux City, and Miss Maggie of Spencer. All the family were here at the time of her death. The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Postville on Monday, Rev. Father Hogan officiating. Interment at Clermont. A very large concourse of sorrowing friends attended the last sad rites and followed the remains to their final resting place. May a consolation not of earth come to the bereaved.
