Ralph C. Davis Passes at Minneapolis, Minn.
Funeral services for Ralph C. Davis, who passed away at a Minneapolis hospital Monday after a brief illness, will be held here this afternoon at 3:30 o’clock from the home of his mother, Mrs. John Davis, with the Rev. R.F. Galloway officiating.

Ralph C. Davis was born on the old homestead in Post township on May 15, 1892, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, and had made this community his home most of his lifetime. He attended and graduated from the Postville High School with the class of 1909.

The deceased was a World War veteran, enlisting early in the war and serving until the armistice was signed in the 88th division overseas.

He was married to Miss Marie Wegner on June 24, 1920, and this union was blessed with two children, Jean and Donald, who with the widow survive. Others surviving are his mother, Mrs. John Davis of this city; one brother, Harry, who lives on the home farm; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hill of Los Angeles, Calif. And Mrs. Myrtle Hall of Postville.

Mr. Davis was for several years associated with I.G. Riley in the plumbing and heating business here, then going to Minneapolis where he was engaged in the same line of work. Being of a cheerful disposition, “Jeff”, as he was familiarly called, made many friends who will sorrow at learing of his untimely passing.

After the services at the mother’s home, interment will be made in the family lot in Grand Meadow cemetery.
