Harry S. Swenson

Services were held December 18 at 2 p.m. at the Lundberg Funeral home in Cannon Falls, Minnesota for Harry S. Swenson who died there Tuesday, December 14.

One of 12 children of Evan and Eliza (McWilliams) Swenson, Harry was born March 18, 1883 at Postville and spent his early years in this vicinity.

In May of 1906 he was united in marriage to Eva Turner of Elkader. In later years he farmed in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Surviving are 4 daughters: Gayle Swenson and Flossie (Jerome) Van Allen of Wheaton, Illinois, Mrs. Olive Johnson in California and Evelyn (Foster) Burroughs of Waterloo; a son Forrest of Cannon Falls, Minnesota; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Mrs. Maria Smith of Waterloo, Mrs. Kate Van Allen of Chicago, Mrs. George (Ethyle) Wallace of Pompano Beach, Florida and Mrs. Joe (Lillian) Harris, Seattle, Washington; 3 brothers: Hall and Allison of Pompano Beach, Florida; Frank of Snohomish, Washington and many nieces and nephews.

His wife, a daughter, his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers preceded him in death.
