Emma Sophie Kluss of this city, daughter of Mrs. Wm. Kluss, died at the Postville Hospital on January 7th, of serious complications following an attack of influenza. She was born in Postville, June 8, 1906, and at the time of her death was aged a few months more than twelve years. She was a bright and intelligent girl and much admired by her friends and schoolmates. The funeral was held from the home on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Hadwin Williams of the M.E. church. Interment in the Postville cemetery.

The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to the widowed mother in this her second bereavement in the short space of three weeks, which is a burden of grief almost to great for the human heart to bear.
