Marvin Duane Suckow, 61, died Friday, March 1, at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

Services were Sunday at Community Presbyterian Church, Postville, with Rev. Reuben Tjaden officiating.

Pallbearers were Albert Handke, Eugene Mork, Carl Meade, William Szabo, Virgil Martins and Rodney Smith.

Burial was in Postville City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of the services.

Marvin Duane Suckow, the son of Rev. William and Helen (Bredlow) Suckow, was born July, 1923 at Klemme, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at United Brethren church. He graduated from Postville High School and Watchmaker School, Elgin, IL.

During his career he was employed at Postville, Prairie du Chien, WI and at the time of his death was self-employed.

July 20, 1950 he married Irene Smith at the Little Brown church, Nashua. They had 2 daughters.

Survivors include his wife Irene; his daughters, Valerie (Richard) Hartkemeyer of Miles, IA, and Anita (Dean) Kouris of Sioux City, IA; 4 grandchildren, Jared, Whitney, Roy, Emily; his mother Helen of New Ulm, NM; 3 brothers, Dale of New Ulm, Luther of Norwalk, IA and Gordon of Van Meter, IA,
