Jolien Marie Suckow

Jolien Marie Suckow, daughter of Kenneth and Donna (Thies) Suckow, was born September 18, 1961 at West Union, Iowa. She died November 2, 1973 in the Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union, Iowa, as a result of a fall at her farm home. She was 12 years, 1 month and 14 days old.

She was baptized Oct. 15, 1961, at the West Clermont Lutheran Church and attended Sunday School there. She was a member of the 6th grade class in the Postville Community Schools.

She is survived by her parents; 3 sisters, Kaylene, Colleen and Jaylee; and a brother, Mark, all living at home; her paternal grandfather, Henry Suckow of Postville; her paternal grandmother, Benita Suckow of Waukon; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thies of West Union; and maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Seitz of Waukon and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 5 at 1:30 at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. Rev. Clarence Johnson was in charge of the funeral. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ray Suckow, Harold Preuss, Earl Ruckdaschel, Dale Kuhse, Alvin Ruroden and Lorraine Lenth.
