Killed by Extreme Heat
Waukon Democrat—The extreme heat is thought to have caused the sudden death Monday of Larry McCormick, a young man whose home was near the Makee school house.

He was haying at Thos. Gallagher’s place in Hanover township, and coming in from the field about noon was engaged in unharnessing the horses. He was seen to clutch the harness in a spasmodic way, and on being assisted to the house he soon expired.

He was about 30 years of age and is survived by a mother and several brothers.
