Norman T. Huntington, 69, of New Albin, died on Wednesday, October 26, in La Crosse Lutheran Hospital. He was born on Feb. 12, 1914 in Genoa, Wis. to John and Ella (Tollackson) Huntington.

He married Virginia Kelly on June 29, 1940. Huntington was a graduate of Viroqua Normal School. He had been a heavy equipment operator on the Panama Canal during World War II and he had been a farmer in the Chaseburg area.

Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Beverly) Schubert of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Gene (Kay) Trussoni of La Crosse, and Mrs. Joel (Sharon) Sires of New Albin; one son, John, of Palo, Iowa; one brother, Arnold, of Ferryville, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in New Albin. The Rev. Tom Mattson officiated and burial was in the New Albin city cemetery. The Dickinson funeral home of La Crosse was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Austin Tollackson, Bryce Tollackson, John N. Huntington, Joel Sires, Eugene Tollackson and Raymond Schubert.
