Elanor Wagner was born near Niagra, Canada, Oct. 10, 1822, and died at the home of her brother in Chetopa, Kansas, Dec. 2, 1891.

She was married to Geo. Baldwin in Dec. 1840. In 1852 they removed to Winneshiek Co., Iowa, and located near Frankville. About five years ago those of the family remaining at home removed to Postville, where their home has since been.

Mrs. Baldwin was the mother of ten children, three of whom, with her husband, preceded her to the better world. She recently started with her two daughters and son to visit a son in Texas. She stopped for a few days with her brother in Kansas, but was here taken sick with pneumonia and died in eight days.

The body was brought home and the services were from the M.E. church.
